Elliot graduated from Rider University with a BA in Communications in 1986, and quickly began his career in Finance as a Financial Professional at First Investors in 1987.
He grew in this role consulting, creating business strategies and planning, analyzing financial statements and balance sheets, and cultivating relationships with corporate and personal clients.
He subsequently founded his own firm, Benson Financial Services, in 1995 - in which he still holds the position of Founder and Managing Principal.
To further enhance his ability to serve his clients, Elliot joined AXA Equitable Advisors in 2015, gaining experience as a Finance Consultant and Advisor for several years.
Wishing to bring his expertise and unique experience to a further range of clients, Elliot joined Ascendancy Financial Group’s team of specialized advisors in January 2026 to enhance his passion for finance and financial planning.
